When can I expect my first issue?
Your first issue will arrive 6-8 weeks after you order. Mother Jones is published six times a year.
Why did I receive a bill if I have already paid?
Our computers generate invoices automatically every two weeks. If you've paid for your subscription but receive an invoice, please disregard it. Your payment has likely crossed in the mail with our invoice. If you continue to receive invoices for the same subscription, contact us at subscribe@motherjones.com. Please include your full name, address with zip code and telephone number in your message to us. Referencing an invoice number will help us to correct problems more quickly and efficiently.
How can I tell if my renewal was received?
You can find personalized information about your subscription expiration by visiting our status page OR by viewing your last mailing label
Make changes in your mailing address here.
Why is my subscription on auto-renewal?
When you subscribe to Mother Jones via our online auto-renewal program, you help non-profit Mother Jones save the money we'd normally spend on costly paper and postage to send you renewal notices. Since the auto-renewal program allows us to save money, we can pass the savings on to you. Your subscription will be offered to you at a discounted rate for as long as you choose to subscribe. (Auto-renewal rates are currently $18/year, 40% off the newsstand rate). You may also enjoy the convenience of uninterrupted service while avoiding the clutter of renewal notices; good for your mailbox and good for the environment. You'll receive a renewal reminder once a year. If we don't hear from you, we'll simply charge your credit card or bill you for the new subscription term. You may cancel your subscription at any time.
How do I get a back issue/reprint of Mother Jones?
You can buy classic issues dating back to 1976 for sale in our ÔReprints and Back Issues' section of the Mother Jones Market. Availability may be limited.
Where can I find Mother Jones magazine?
Mother Jones magazine can be found at most major and independent booksellers throughout the U.S. and in specialty stores internationally. If your favorite bookseller does not carry Mother Jones, please use our form here to contact us. We will do our best to have them stock Mother Jones for you and your friends. In the meantime, you can order the most recent issue here.
Who do I contact if I don't want my subscriber information shared?
