Democratic Party

The Democratic presidential scene is like a jaunt through literature. Bill Clinton plays Julius Caesar, not knowing who to trust, but still in the cat-bird seat. New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley stars as one of a few disgruntled Senators, waiting in a hallway. Bradley hasn't been shy about expressing his disappointment in Caesar's reign, and now he is threatening to run against Clinton as an independent.

Jesse Jackson, on the other hand, is Don Quixote, tilting at windmills. He stands no chance of beating Clinton if he runs as an independent, but he could split the Democratic vote. Perennial fringe candidate Lyndon LaRouche is the Mad Hatter, hosting a tea party all his own, and joker Pat Paulsen brings some comic relief. Meanwhile, darker-than-dark horse candidate Bruce Daniels, a duel citizen of both the U.S. and Canada, seeks to shake up the party from the ground up.

How will the story end? Well, the voters will decide. If you're not sure what ending you'd prefer, click on the names above to read the latest adventures of our cast and journey to their homes on the Internet.

    New Jersey Democratic State Committee
Though this page is focused primarily on the Garden State (there's a clickable map of legislators there), it's also an excellent resource for Democratic Party-related information in general.
    Democratic Caucus Home Page
The website published by House Democrats. Read the "History of the Democratic National Caucus." Remember the "Back" button on your browser.
    The Democratic Party Web Page
The most unique thing here (other than the picture of a Donkey surfing the 'net) is a list of links to state and local Democrats. This is possibly the most thorough list of links about the Party.
    The Democratic Party Platform
Just in case you want the full text.
    Turn Left...the home of Liberalism
While not an official Party website, this is probably the most fun of any of the pages listed here. A virtual primer for those on the left. Ever wonder what space aliens would think of conservatives? Click away.
